A party of action

JOHN Gormley and the Green Party have acted consistently in the area of mental health reform and human rights.

A party of action

Attacking a man for using the analogy of a “straitjacket” to describe how difficult it is to work within the constraints of government is insane.

The Greens under Gormley have acted by adopting the deletion of section 59b of the Mental Health Act 2001, which will put a stop to forced electro convulsive therapy as a treatment as party policy, a decision that if successful will have an immediate effect on the lives of many patients trapped in the system. We need maturity from politicians not squabbling — actions always speak louder than words.
