Stop aid to corrupt and brutal regimes

THE government has let us down badly — and we have taken action. The banks and the developers have let us down — and we have taken action. The regulator has let us down — and we have taken action.

However, brutal and corrupt regimes in the developing world have been letting us down for decades — and we have done absolutely nothing about it.

Our government is still channelling hundreds of millions of euro through these regimes, trusting that they will use it to help the poorest of the poor amongst their citizens.
