FG for serious stuff, Labour for climatology

IN her column (October 25), Terry Prone wrote the most incisive political commentary I have read for a long time.

Her instinctive understanding of popular mass psychology provides the roots to her conclusions that Brian Cowen awaits his P45 and that Enda Kenny is managing a march towards his objective. Kenny’s captaincy of team Fine Gael has given the country its best economic team – Noonan, Bruton, Varadkar and Hayes.

Labour will do very well irrespective of the arithmetic of their policies. The people have decided the serious stuff is best left to Fine Gael and the climatology to Labour.

Emotion is a powerful motivator. Kenny has powerful emotional intelligence and he should let it flow. He and Labour must make sure the people have hope for the future.

I am regularly asked in the street – “are we finished?” No, we’re not, but we must stop making huge errors.

Fianna Fáil simply must go.
