Shame on the two men who walked away

JIM McDaid resigned his Dáil seat saying the Taoiseach should call a general election.

Shame on the two men who walked away

He showed his esteem for the electorate by deciding not to stay on and vote against the Government thereby helping to bring about the very thing he wished for.

Similarly, when George Lee didn’t reach the heights he had expected in a few short months as a TD, he too quit while maintaining his opposition to the Government. When will their constituents be fully represented again? That is at the behest of a Government McDaid and Lee apparently detested. Their two votes would surely have hastened the demise of this administration. Shame on both of them.
