Bad business

YOU report (October 23) that the president of Cork Chamber of Commerce, Ger O’Mahoney, has called for a business leaders council to act as a consultative body to the Government.

One wonders who he has in mind as we have had years of cosy cartels and golden circles composed of Government, IBEC, CIF, trade unions, bankers, accountancy firms, etc, with the shambles we see around us every day.

Perhaps leaders from small firms should be given a chance
