A debt of gratitude

MY wife suffered a serious gynaecological condition and was transferred in mid surgery from Cork University Maternity Hospital to the adjacent CUH where she was treated for several hours by gynaecological and radiology teams.

A debt of gratitude

I can never adequately thank both hospitals – the gynaecological team led by Dr John Waterstone and the radiology team led by Dr David Tuite whose skill, stamina and expertise saved my wife’s life. I wish also to express my sincere gratitude to the staff of ward two south in CUMH who cared for her since last August with admirable professionalism and the utmost kindness.

That same standard of care and kindness was provided also by the medical teams in the CUH intensive care unit, the CUMH high dependency unit, the neonatal unit and the porters, housekeeping and security staff. Thanks to the blood donors of Cork and our families and friends for their support.

I go home today with my wife, who is mother of our three young children, feeling deeply grateful to many people for so, so much.
