Moss Keane - A force of good nature

SOME people take up more space than they might and Moss Keane, in the very best possible ways, took up a lot more than even a six-foot-five Kerryman should.

Moss Keane - A force of good nature

He was one of the first GAA players to reach the very highest level in rugby but he will be remembered for so very much more. His wit, personality and enthusiasm for life made him wonderful company and the hero of very many legends. And the wonderful thing is that nearly all the legends are true – or at least Moss made it possible for us to believe that they were.

He was the anti-hero we Irish love to love so much. Though he was not the first Currow man to make his mark with the oval ball he did it in a way that every Irish person can celebrate. He took the world on on his own terms and he won. God rest him.
