Debate challenge on cervical vaccine

MOTHERS Alliance Ireland (MAI) respects Barry Walsh’s freedom to espouse ‘facts’ about the HPV vaccine that are contrary to those held by us (Letters, September 14).

However, we are appalled at his barefaced attempt to silence us and to muzzle the Irish Examiner simply because you chose to give a voice to us and to others who take issue with his ‘facts’.

MAI knows parents are not being given the full information about the risks associated with this vaccine. Parents, therefore, are being denied their right to make an informed decision. But name-calling through your letters page isn’t going to get the truth out, is it?
