Fair – and unfair

PASSING through Kenmare last Monday I had the misfortune to get caught up in the ‘Kenmare Fair’.

How do local people allow their beautiful town to be desecrated every year in this fashion? The level of filth – rubbish and animal manure – on the roads and footpaths, had to be seen to be believed. I was embarrassed to think what any foreign visitors would of made of this ‘attraction’. The dirty Irish are alive and well.
