Following an illegal second Lisbon Treaty referendum, and the likely passage of the Civil Partnership Bill (involving no referendum and no vote of the Dáil), Ireland will no longer be any of these things.

We will then revert to the peasants we once were. Except maybe for headage grants, there will be little to distinguish us from the sheep in the fields.
