Cyclists’ dilemma

IN his letter (May 28), Michael O’Donnell complains about the threat to pedestrians from cycling on footpaths.

Perhaps if cyclists felt safe on the road and weren’t considered at best a nuisance by motorists, the NRA, the legal system, etc, they wouldn’t be on the footpath where at least they’re less likely to be killed by some idiot?
