I REFER to recent letters from Vera Treacy (May 12) and Michael Flynn (May 7) regarding the use of poisons.

Bord Bia does not require farmers either to lay bait or poison rodents.

Our quality assurance scheme does require an effective level of rodent control. This is essential to food safety.
