Going in comfort
Whichever parties are unfortunate enough to form the next government will drink power from a very poisoned chalice. The losers can slink off to the strange dimensions they inhabit where they can spend their (still) very fine pensions. They can travel there by airship balloons inflated by their copious amounts of hot air. The size of a political pension is directly proportionate to the volume of hot air generated over the course of a political career in a vacuum filled with empty promises.
