Old and unwanted – the FF solution

ONCE again it looks as though we “oldies” are going to have to carry the can.

Shame on us all for not having a pot of gold at the end of our gardens.

The Government can’t afford to let us into nursing homes in case we are not in a position to pay. It didn’t want us to get treatment for our illnesses so it tried to remove our medical cards. It took away our Christmas bonuses so that we were unable to give our grandchildren a gift or even buy something extra (God forbid) for ourselves.

My fellow oldies, I suspect in the not too distant future we will all receive a little tablet to take (apart from ministers and TDs who are over 65) and then when we have all popped our clogs the Government will have no need to for pensions or nursing homes, or indeed to give a Christmas bonus – unless it’s for themselves. I think that sounds like a Fianna Fáil solution. And let’s not forget we must have enough money for our funerals as the burial grant will probably go as well.
