House prices

YOUR headline ‘Dublin house prices on the rise’ (April 13) is not only technically incorrect but bordering on irresponsible journalism.

House prices

The catchy headline is qualified with the analysis that “from the last quarter of 2009 to the first quarter of 2010, prices increased for two-bed apartments in Dublin 2, three-bed terrace houses in Dublin 18 and three-bed terraces in the 6W area, which takes in Terenure”.

The is extremely tenuous and you are not doing your readers any service by publishing these aspirational and incorrect pieces. Irish property still has a long way to fall and everyone in the country appears to know this except politicians, estate agents and the national media.
