Ahern ‘does a Johnny Cash’ on the gardaí

LET’S not permit the spin to get a hold. The GRA was absolutely right to voice its anger and to call things by their proper names. Fianna Fáil has been in power too long, and power corrupts.

Justice Minister Dermot Ahern chose to snipe from the safety of the government benches and make Johnny Cash noises about crossing the line, yet he hadn’t the courage to face the assembled gardaí. Like a petulant child, he huffed and refused to play.

We have all had enough of fat-cat pensions and salaries, of bankers wrecking the country and walking away with pensions that would keep a small state in business.
