YOUR editorial headlined ‘A week that showed us the future’, (April 17), concerning the new financial regulator, is very apt.

Unfortunately, the damage is done, the horse has bolted, the new regime is about 10 years too late.

Cowen’s and Ahern’s legacy will last for generations, at least.
