Funny money: can you spot the difference?

ANGLO Irish Bank represented a €7 billion “loan” from Irish Life & Permanent as a “deposit” in order to show Anglo’s accounts in a falsely favourable light.

The Government represented €4bn “spending” in Anglo Irish as an “investment” in order to show the Ireland Inc accounts in a falsely favourable light.

Now tell me, are these standards somehow different?
