FOLLOWING two wonderful weekends of Grand National activity in Aintree and Fairyhouse, is the Minister for Environment and Heritage, John Gormley, aware that the Irish Grand National was originally the Ward Union Hunt Steeplechase?

Maybe the heritage side of his department will put a preservation order on the hunt club as a national treasure like the Hill of Tara.
