It’s up to women

IN her letter headlined ‘Men only’ (April 10), Florence Craven complains that “in addition to being the ones who caused the banking crisis, men are the only ones commenting on it and its solutions”.

The rectification of that problem lies in the hands of women themselves. Because they live longer they are the majority in the electorate. Therefore they have it within their capacity to elect many more women to the Dáil at the next election.

This might go some way to resolving the very relevant and important problem posed by Florence Craven.
