Green cleanser

FAIR play to Green party leader and Environment Minister John Gormley. Speaking at his party conference in Waterford recently he said Fine Gael should stop abusing the planning process and stop accepting corporate donations.

He never mentioned his coalition partner Fianna Fáil, so by implication one must assume they have cleaned up their act, Green party-style.

If nothing else, this may be Gormley’s greatest achievement and monument, and the people will reward him and his party.
