Farewell to Carla

I WISH to pay tribute to Carla Blake who has retired as weekly columnist in your Examiner Farming supplement.

Her writings covered a vast range of subjects besides the lovely homely occupations which she gave life to in her articles.

She became a friend to her readers with her anecdotes, advice — diffidently offered but always sound — and of course those delicious recipes.

It is no surprise she wants to continue writing and I wish her well with her new projects.
