No role in ticket sales

IN her letter (March 9), Marian O’Mullane mistakenly gives the impression that Cork Airport Authority doesn’t allow you to buy a ticket for cash if you are trying to fly the same day.

In fact, the authority has no role in the sale of flight tickets to customers either at the airline ticket desks or on the internet.

The airlines have the sole responsibility for selling flight tickets and any terms and conditions applying to their sale are set by the airlines – not by the airport authority.
