Wrong approach

THE ESRI is wrong in its assumption that limiting incineration will affect Ireland’s ability to meet EU directives diverting waste from landfill.

Incineration is a lazy option.

If you make it available by increasing capacity, you will limit the ability of alternative technologies which provide much better solutions and many more job opportunities.

It is very simple — limit the amount of waste to be burnt and we will have to look at innovative technologies to deal with it.
