‘Upper class’ abuse

I READ with interest Fergus Finlay’s column on the abuse victims’ memorial (February 16).

While I agree wholeheartedly with him and empathise with those who were abused I would like to mention another group of children in the 1940s and ‘50s who were molested by their carers in so-called upper class secondary schools.

Physical abuse was also rife, having the name of corporal punishment.
