A FEW weeks ago a spokesman for Cork airport said the new bmibaby service from the east midlands in England was a sign of green shoots.

Well, someone forgot to water the shoots as the service ends after only 10 weeks.

The actions or inactions of the Cork Airport Authority are once again plainly unfit for purpose.
