Flights procedure a passport to terrorism?

UNTIL quite recently, Ryanair boarding passes included not just the name of the person boarding, but his or her passport number.

In a country of five million people I’m sure it would be no great feat to gain further information about the person concerned if these boarding passes got into the wrong hands.

I found one of these paper boarding passes tucked into the side of a seat on a Ryanair flight. I always had a bad feeling about this and made sure to destroy my boarding pass.
