An inspiration to all honest people

I AM deeply saddened about the resignation of George Lee from Fine Gael. The election of Lee put a breath of fresh air into Irish politics, mainly due to his honest approach toward the financial problems of the country.

It is now obvious that the Party is run by diehards that used Lee because of his celebrity status instead of his wealth of experience and were determined not to take heed of his talents. I admire his decision to resign for reasons of belief in his convictions and out of respect and honour to the people who elected him. What a pity the other politicians do not follow his honest stance instead of just taking the money and leading this country to ruination. Lee an inspiration to all good honest people.
