Blessing or curse?

IN his letter headlined ‘I feel blessed in the US – not Ireland’ (January 30), Dr Cormac Duffy describes a living nightmare – from the cacophony of religious radio stations, through visual assaults on passers-by from gawdy church signs to the bible and religious artefact-stuffed supermarkets.

Blessing or curse?

Even something like taking a simple walk in the countryside wouldn’t be safe what with crowds of happy-clappy singers lurking by lakesides and such like. And apparently people everywhere are boasting their religious credentials at the drop of a hat. It must be hell on earth.

If there are any Irish people harbouring plans to return home to inflict these horrors on us, please can they stay away. Things are bad enough already.
