Swine flu ‘con-trick’ boosts vested interests

SO swine flu was yet another deadly pandemic that never materialised, exactly as I and many others have been saying for four or five months.

Harvard now admits the same. Ontario health officials have also declared H1N1 a dud pandemic. Last month, British and French media began saying the pandemic had been grossly overhyped by medical researchers to further their own cause, boost research grants and line the pockets of the boyos in the drug companies – just like SARS, bird flu and other health department con-tricks.

Why did we not have a more responsible attitude from Mary Harney and Brendan Drumm when we were trying desperately to economise? Why did RTÉ slavishly follow this inept government’s line? Same reason they all allowed the banks to fleece us, I suppose.
