Bringing decent people into disrepute

I REFER to your editorial headlined ‘Day of action becomes day of cheap beer’ (November 25).

What evidence do you have that any of those going to the North were public sector workers? Children were off school because of the strike — it is likely many of their parents took the day off work to take care of them.

They then decided not to waste the day by heading out to do some Christmas shopping.
