Anger persists because culprits still in control

HAS anybody else noticed how this Government has furtively (as usual) managed to persuade a few menials to start suggesting that we the people are the real reason for the recession because we were too greedy.

Anger persists because culprits still in control

We should, apparently, stop complaining now, stop the blame game and start working with the Government to make Ireland better again.

Three points.

Firstly, if that perverted logic were true, every government employee is equally to blame by accepting a job in what they knew was already a gigantic, unaffordable and underworked bureaucracy.

Secondly, we the public know that the crash was actually caused by allowing countless billions of unregulated money onto the market in the sure knowledge that it would cause unsustainable, rampant inflation of house (and other) prices.

Thirdly, our anger might dissipate if the guilty people would simply accept the blame and resign in disgrace.

If they had had even one little shred of integrity and done that, I am quite sure we would all have got together with the next government and worked together for our country.

Sadly, like the lion with bloody lips looking up contentedly from its prey, they are going to continue gorging. That is why we the innocent are still very angry.
