THE NAMA bill has been passed in a country where there is no longer enough money for the poor, the pensioners, the people who save our lives in hospitals, who rescue us when our house catches fire or come to our aid if we are attacked in the street.

We await the budget with trepidation as we know whatever succour there may be for shareholders, developers and banks, there is nothing left for the ordinary citizen.
