Dangerous way to drive home message

THERE is more than a modicum of irony about the Bord Gáis safety messages when one sees the current offering from the company showing a woman driving a car on a public road while giving her sales blurb to camera.

Clearly she cannot have been giving her driving anything like the necessary attention.

Making TVs programmes from the driving seat seems to fall outside the usual road safety norms, judging by the number of people who do it on a variety of programmes from Top Gear to the news.
