I HAVE been in or around Kinsale, Co Cork, since 1954 and would still be regarded as a “blow-in”.

Pay parking will drive business out of town

Despite this, I must comment on what is being done to the town by county council officials whose sole purpose is to raise funds to cover their shortfalls of recent years.

This was clearly shown by their attitude at the Kinsale Town Council meeting on October 5 last when the town manager announced that pay parking was to be enforced in the three car parks in the town despite this needing a by-law change by the council.
