Give money to the people, not the banks

WILL the people of Ireland stand idly by while Messrs Cowen and Lenihan prepare a NAMA gallows to hang Irish taxpayers for generations to come.

Give money to the people, not the banks

There is simply no need whatsoever for national banks. Such institutions are a disaster for smaller companies and individuals, since they are only interested in lending to big national or multinational companies. Let the Government give cash to the people not to the banks.

Our patriot dead must be turning in their graves as they witness the betrayal of their country by their own soldiers of destiny. Fianna Fáil succumbed to the 30 pieces of silver, leading to the indiscriminate spending and lending that has now left this country barren of cash and credit. Because of their own avarice, they now want the taxpayers to bail them out. Fianna Fáil and the banks are the cause of and not the cure to our troubles. The blame rests on the shoulders of Fianna Fáil and their henchmen, who have dragged politics in this country through the mud with their dig-outs and deceits.
