What price NAMA?

THERE is an awful lot of commentary in recent times on the question of valuing NAMA’s assets.

I number among these Willie O’Dea talking about when things are “back to normal”. What is normal?

We have to make the economy competitive again and to do this will require reducing the cost of living and of doing business. This will result in people being unable to pay exorbitant prices for houses and apartments. This means we will never be able to let these rise to recent levels again. On this basis, what value NAMA assets?
