Research reveals a deadly combination

MICHAEL JOB (Letters, September 15) appears to have little or no difficulty mixing alcohol and driving.

I reckon if he had the experience of losing a loved one in a crash where alcohol was a factor he might adopt a very different view of this issue.

What is lacking in this debate so far is a willingness on the part of the vintners and their supporters to read the research, which is widely available and in my view proves beyond doubt that the intake of alcohol even at the proposed 50mg limit impairs one’s judgement, visual accuracy, psychomotor skills and thought processes.
