No questions asked over five years in the job
It beggars belief that no one had questioned these expenses over his five years as Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism.
Now we’re told that in his capacity as Ceann Comhairle,“it would not be proper for him to become involved in public debate”.
Could he explain when it would proper fully and honestly to explain himself. No doubt after he retires and takes a pension.
And to think that I spent nine years in the Naval Service for which I get no pension and once, while claiming overnight expenses, I had to return a claim form no less than three times to Galway over a few pence difference between their calculations and mine.
