WHO have a policy on drink-driving laws

IN reply to Mr Jobs’ letter of August 18 I would like to draw his attention to the recent World Health Organisation (WHO) publication ‘Global Status Report On Road Safety – Time for Action’. In this document the WHO states:

* All countries should have a drink–driving law.

* Drink–driving laws should be based on blood alcohol concentration, or the equivalent breath alcohol content limits, 0.05 g/dl (50mg) or below.

* All countries should set limits of 0.02 g/dl (20mg) or below for young/novice drivers.
