Hospital car park charges outrageous
The charges for parking, at €2.50 an hour, are outrageous when considered against the Royal Victoria in Belfast at £1.40 (€1.63) for four hours.
Now consider an appointment made for a specific time. One waits for two hours, which becomes three when you go to your car.
I have no complaint about delays when one has to undergo tests and is referred to other departments, but there must be some way patients can be reimbursed. The same situation occurs when visitors are seeing sick relatives or friends.
It is most infuriating when one finds the machine demanding payment for a full hour even if you are only a minute into it. Who benefits from all of this? How much does the hospital receive? I would appreciate a reply?
