Cowen slow to get to grips with economic crisis

HAVING reassured myself that An Bord Snip was not a new area of health to do with circumcision in our new multicultural society, I still found it very strange that Taoiseach Brian Cowen, previously the country’s finance minister, would actually admit to forming it.

Any manager is always working to keep costs down, unless he or she is grossly irresponsible and self-interested and it’s somebody else’s money, of course.

I was astounded to note that during the greatest period of wealth in our history, Mr Cowen failed to pay one single euro off our national debt, which would have helped our current plight considerably.
