Flying in right direction

IN response to Shane Mawe (Letters, June 26), I suggest he wakes up and smells the coffee. I am old enough to remember when there was only one airline out of Cork.

At that time a return flight to London cost over a month’s wages. Thanks to the Ryanair model we can now choose airlines at a fraction of the cost.
