No brutality in schools catering for the elite
It should be perfectly clear to all who have read or heard details of the Ryan commission report that the shocking brutality was mainly carried out in the religious institutions where the poor and defenseless were incarcerated by an uncaring state/society.
This brutality was also practised to a lesser but by no means less damaging degree in the schools run by the brothers for children of a working class background. There does not appear to be any evidence of these practices in the more exclusive establishments run by the same brothers for the children of the elite.
