Government dodges the taxation bullet

THE Government intends to take whatever action may be deemed necessary and appropriate whenever the Commission on Taxation makes its recommendations.

Our leaders also chant the soundbite that they are awaiting the report from An Bórd Snip before tackling public service expenditure in a more fully and comprehensive manner.

They are losing the run of themselves and freewheeling rapidly downhill while remaining inactive going forward. They comfortably orbit the real world in their well-insulated space pods.
