President McAleese doing the wrong job?

I SEE President Mary McAleese was in the US leading a trade delegation last week.

Is this job for the president? What about our politicians and those in charge of the IDA and similar bodies?

And while there she “profoundly” speaks about abuse in our industrial schools and calls for prosecutions. Is this her job either?
