Replace low-grade fixers with outside experts

WE have far too many TDs, the job is attracting the wrong kind of people and they are not performing the duties which the constitution requires of them.

Most of them are merely low-grade fixers and lobby fodder. Dáil statistics show many have poor attendance records and are even worse when it comes to debate contribution.

When did we last have a finance minister with any real expertise? The vast majority of them have no better credentials than the average person in the street and are thus the prisoners of their department.
