Nuclear solution

JOHN SWEENEY of NUI Maynooth warns us of the impending shortage of water, especially on the east coast (April 28).

Instead of taking water all the way from the Shannon, would it not be more sensible to desalinate seawater by means of a nuclear reactor positioned on the east coast? It could also generate some electricity.
