Lyric celebrates - A wonderful journey
Though the music station’s listenership figures seem stuck at around 3% those involved can give themselves a considerable pat on the back.
After all the station’s objectives are not commercial and by its continued existence the station shows the true worth of public service broadcasting.
No one really knows why or how great music resonates with the best and the worst things about being human, how it accentuates all that is challenging about what it is to feel powerful emotions. Without it our lives would be so much less alive or heartfelt, our silences just empty.
Lyric has led its listeners on a wonderful journey and will hopefully do so for many years to come.
