They still don’t see us — and they don’t care

YEARS ago, a friend and I were walking down a busy street when a Jaguar XJ12 came towards us.

In those days, that car was the absolute status symbol. As the car approached, he said, “see the Jag” and I nodded.

Then he said: “see the guy driving it” and again, I nodded.

Then he simply said: “He doesn't see you.” In the context of the economy today, does my friend’s observation sound familiar?
